The Homeschooled Kids and the Network Marketing Parent (Part I)

So you’ve decided to take the plunge and enter the fascinating world of network marketing. You’ve got to listen to those orientation videos. You’ve got to communicate with your up line as they help you become au fait in how to start up your business. You’ve got to join the inner circle of network marketing friends who will help you to make the most of your business. You’ve got to work on establishing a down line of network marketers. You’ve got to balance your roles of wife or husband, mother or father, good neighbor, friend, and so much more. There’s so much to do and so little time to do them. And to top it all off, your kids are homeschooled. It’s no wonder that you keep asking yourself every single moment, ‘How am I ever going to survive all this?

Yet, one of the best things that you can do as moms or dads who sometimes feel overwhelmed is to stop, take a deep breath, and reflect on why homeschooling is, perhaps, the best option for your kids and the rest of the family.

First of all, there is the opportunity to spend a lot of time with each other as a family. How many 21st-century moms and dads can honestly say that they spend quality time with the kids? Home school teacher-moms-or-dads and the home school student-kids have the opportunity to play together, read together, learn together and do all kinds of exciting, new things together.

Also, the homeschoolers’ learning can be personalized to meet their needs. Who are the best persons to identify their kids’ learning style, or intelligences, or interests? Yes, it’s you. You intuitively know, and you’ve also got first hand experience and knowledge about what kind of learners they are. You’re the ones who already know if your children are gifted with one or more of these intelligences: musical, mathematical, linguistic kinesthetic, spatial, naturalist, interpersonal or intrapersonal (visit http://www.tecweb.org/styles/gardner.html for more information). You’re the ones who have observed your children and have seen that they are interested in music, or sports, or writing, or collecting, or scrap booking. Thus, the onus is on you to tailor a program that caters for the growing needs of your children.

Yes, the benefits of homeschooling your children are tremendous. In other words, the network marketing parent can be confident that homeschooling is a great alternative to public and private schools. Interestingly, that parent can work at his/her second ‘job’ (the first is being a home school teacher-parent) while the children are busy at their daily tasks. Of course, they are still monitored or supervised under your watchful care and guidance. However, you can also use this time, everyday, to send out emails, write a blog or an article, connect with your inner circle of network marketers, and consider ways in which you can use the social networks to generate more leads for your business, recruit distributors (who will build their own businesses, which also benefit your business) and so much more.

Homeschooling gives you, the parents, the privilege and pleasure of saving money while you’re at home with the kids. At the same time, however, you can make lots and lots of money from your network marketing business. Isn’t that amazing?
